Luka is the heart behind Not Your Average Education Support, bringing a compassionate and skilled approach to tutoring students from Years 7-12 and adult learners alike.
Specialising in maths and occasionally teaching high school science, Luka’s mission is to help people not only understand maths, but also feel confident in their abilities. They are particularly dedicated to supporting students who face challenges such as maths anxiety, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.
With extensive experience working with neurodiverse learners, Luka understands that each student’s journey is unique. They tailor their methods to make learning accessible, engaging, and anxiety-free, creating a safe environment where students can thrive.
Luka also supports adult learners in bridging maths courses or preparing for the numeracy sections and psychometric tests required for careers in the police force, New Zealand Defence Force, and fire services.
Whether helping students conquer algebra or building skills for a lifelong career, Luka’s approach is patient, practical, and supportive, always focused on empowering students to reach their personal best.

Yuna
Science & Maths
Kia ora, I’m Yuna! I am originally from France, but have been calling Ōtepoti Dunedin home for about a decade. I studied at the University of Otago, where I completed a Bachelors in physics and an Honours in oceanography. I am currently working as a lab demonstrator and assignment marker for a second year physics paper, have experience tutoring high school level calculus, and I am excited to join the team at Not Your Average Education Support! In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, climbing and surfing, or making art! I look forward to working together.
Eva Roberts
English & History
Eva Roberts is a second year Law and English student. She received excellence endorsed in NCEA levels 1-3 and passed NZQA scholarship exams for English, Classics and History. This year, she completed all English courses with an A grade average and is passionate about passing her love of literature and film on to students. She has experience tutoring for specific learning challenges and in her spare time, enjoys listening to music and collecting vinyl records.
